Digestive System

What is the digestive system? The digestive system helps nutrients go into my blood. The food goes into the mouth.  To break food down, we chew the food with our teeth and mix the food with the tongue and saliva. We swallow the food which goes down the esophagus into the stomach, here the food is mixed with the gastric juice and goes to the small intestine. In the small intestine nutrients go into the blood and the waste goes to the large intestine and out the anus. And yes,……This is why we need to go to the toilet to poop!
